Game 1 vs. Williston State College
Conference weekend versus Williston State, coming from a good win against Bismarck the Royals needed to keep the momentum coming into a tough weekend. The Royals struck first and got on the board in the first inning putting pressure on. They were unable to keep it going struggling with the bat all day only recording 4 hits, it is tough to get scoreboard pressure. Cesar Bernal was extremely tough on the mound, making it tough for Williston to put the game out of hand. Jared Gesell recorded two hits and the first homerun of the season. The final Williston State College 8 LRSC 2.
Game 2 vs. Williston State College
Needing a spark for the second game to hopefully get a split, the Royals were still a little flat struggling with their bats. They were not able to get the chain moving as a team and combine on base presence and hits till the sixth and seventh when they were able to put runs on the board. Ryan Alain started a little shaky but found his groove and started to really pound the zone and shut down the Williston scoring giving us a chance to stay in the game. It wasn't enough as the Tetons pulled away late by the final of 9-2.

The Royals finally hit the field for their first home game of the season. Jared Gesell on the mound found his rhythm and put pressure on the strike zone. Picthing a wonderful game. A couple of missed opportunities in the field by the Royals gave Williston the lead. The bats never got going for the home team and they just couldn't overcome the difference and lost 4-1. Landyn Swenson leading the way with two hits.
Game 4 vs. Williston State College
The Royals entered the game needing a win to keep the sweep away. Not letting any of the last games phase them, they came out ready. Scoring in the first, third, fourth, fifth and the ninth. This was one of our best games when it came to offense. The Royals never shut down and kept fighting to get the win. Brett Boudreau had four clutch hits and scored three times including the final. Jared Gesell, Landen Hall and Landyn Swenson each had multiple hit games. Bryce Hunt, Tyler Renken and Jon Lund had outstanding performances on the mound to shut down a great offense. After losing the lead in the top of the 7th the Royals fought to keep it tied for 3 innings, with Jon Lund coming up big on the mound. Despite opportunities in the 7th & 8th it came down to the bottom on the 9th with loaded bases and Jared Gesell up to the plate. He cam up big with a hit over shortstop we had our first walk off win of the year! Royals take it 9-8.
Head Coach Kyal Williams said, "It is always tough playing Williston, as they have been established for many years and have great depth in every positions. If we keep the hitting, fielding and pitching like the last game we are right there with the best. Great credit for the boys to come back from three tough loses to keep moving forward and get the win."
