The Lake Region State College Lady Royal Volleyball team continued its 4 game road week by traveling to Jamestown, ND to take on the Jamestown JV Jimmies. The Royals came in with an overall record of 3-19 (0-7) while the Jimmies had only lost 1 game all year, they have an overall record of 11-1.
LRSC struggled with their serves all night which gave the Jimmies easy points leading to runs to help them pull away. The first set Jamestown won 25-14, the second set Jamestown won 25-15, Jamestown took the third set 25-22 and with it the match 3 sets to 0 over the Royals.
Head Coach Brigitte Greywater said, "Our serving and serve receive was a problem tonight. We continued to just give them free points and you can't do that against a good team. A bright spot tonight was our blocking. We didn't do that very well last night against NDSCS but I thought we were much better at that tonight."
With the win Jamestown moved to 12-1 on the year with the Royals moving to 3-20 (0-7). The Royals continue their Road travels this Saturday they will be down in the Twin Cities to take on regional opponents DCTC and Gogebic CC. Their next home match will be Friday, October 13th vs. Dawson CC which will be played at the Sportscenter.
