Lake Region State College Adds Pennsylvania Native Alina Martin to 2025–26 Women's Hockey Roster
Lake Region State College is pleased to welcome Alina Martin, a versatile forward from Pennsylvania, to the Royals women's hockey team for the 2025–26 season.
Martin began her hockey journey at age seven and has continued to develop her game with a strong passion for improvement and a deep love for the sport. What drew her to Lake Region State College was the close-knit community and team culture.
"I love how connected everyone is at Lake Region — it truly feels like a family," said Martin. "I can't wait to get on the ice and continue growing as a player and a person."
In addition to her athletic commitment, Martin brings a well-rounded and compassionate background. She works at a daycare, where she's developed valuable life skills and discovered a love for helping others learn and grow — something that carries over into her positive, team-first mindset. Outside of hockey, Alina enjoys painting, drawing, kayaking, snorkeling, and spending time with her pet bunny and dog.
Head Coach Sawyer Diseth praised Martin's character and eagerness to grow:
"Alina is someone who brings energy, empathy, and a genuine love for learning — both on and off the ice. She's the type of player who will thrive in our environment, and we're excited to see her grow with our program. She'll be a great addition to our roster and our campus community."
