Lake Region State College Men’s Hockey Announces 2025–26 Roster
The Lake Region State College Royals men's hockey program has officially finalized its roster for the 2025–26 season. This year's team features an exciting blend of returning leadership and promising new talent, creating what many believe could be one of the strongest squads in program history.
Head Coach Brady Stein is confident in the group's potential.
"This season, our roster has the right mix of speed, skill, and offensive creativity to make a real impact," Stein said. "Our sophomores are not only talented players, but also an outstanding group of leaders who set the tone on and off the ice. Combined with a freshman class full of dynamic athletes, we're looking forward to a fast-paced, competitive, and exciting year for Royals hockey."
Sophomores
Griffin Anderson – Glenboro, MB (Forward)
Coming off a strong season, Griffin looks to build on his success heading into 2025–26. He possesses excellent hockey IQ, a creative offensive mind, and a high-level skill set. Griffin is dangerous in the offensive zone and a leader in setting the pace of play.
Brett Lesage – Notre Dame De Lourdes, MB (Forward)
A consistent two-way forward, Brett brings strong skating, reliable defensive play, and a willingness to battle in all areas of the ice. His versatility allows him to contribute effectively in any situation.
Carson Beaudin – Northwood, ND (Forward)
A hard-nosed competitor, Carson plays with speed and intensity. He thrives on forechecking pressure, forcing turnovers, and generating offense through relentless effort.
Rigley Astle – Bismarck, ND (Forward)
Rigley joined the Royals midseason last year and made an immediate impact. His offensive instincts, vision, and playmaking ability make him a key offensive threat with a full offseason of preparation.
Dylan Matthews – Northwood, ND (Forward)
Dylan is a dependable forward with a strong work ethic and a team-first mentality. He plays a responsible two-way game and brings steady energy every shift.
Freshmen
Josh Pexa – New Prague, MN (Defense)
Josh brings two seasons of USPHL Premier experience with the Steele County Blades, adding valuable high-level competition and maturity. He plays a steady, physical defensive game, makes smart first passes, and stays poised under pressure.
Brody Parker – Cando, ND (Forward)
A Devils Lake High School product, Brody adds speed, relentless work ethic, and a willingness to attack the net. His high-energy game makes him an immediate spark plug in the forward group.
Alex Sabourin – Rosenort, MB (Defense)
Alex comes from a season in Manitoba junior hockey and is ready for the college challenge. He is a mobile defenseman who can join the rush while staying reliable in his own zone.
Tyler Rogers – Brandon, MB (Forward)
Tyler finished 4th in points in the Manitoba High School league last season. A proven scorer with a winning background, he brings offensive instincts and finishing ability that make him a constant threat.
Nathan Bowlby – Des Moines, IA (Goalie)
With two years of USPHL Premier experience, Nathan brings a calm, composed style to the crease. His quick reflexes and strong positioning provide stability in net.
Dylan Schneider – Bismarck, ND (Forward)
A relentless worker, Dylan excels on the penalty kill and adds a strong defensive presence up front. His high motor and attention to detail make him an important depth piece.
Matthew Wherley – International Falls, MN (Defense)
Matt joins the Royals after a season in the NA3HL with the Minnesota Wilderness. He is a dependable, physical defenseman who contributes offensively when needed.
Theron McGregor – Brandon, MB (Forward)
Theron is coming off an excellent Manitoba high school season and brings speed, agility, and creativity with the puck to the Royals offense.
Jack Albert – Regina, SK (Forward)
Jack is a physical power forward who battles hard along the boards and creates space for his teammates.
Xzavier Kubluitok – Rankin Inlet, NU (Defense)
Xzavier spent recent seasons in northern Manitoba junior hockey, most recently with the OCN Storm (KJHL). He is a physical defender who thrives in shutting down top opponents.
Chael Rozdeba – Hamiota, MB (Forward)
A skilled forward with elite puck control, Chael has the vision and scoring touch to change a game in an instant.
Xander Martinez – Kenosha, WI (Goalie)
Xander, from Warren Township, brings quickness, athleticism, and fierce competitiveness to the crease.
Ty Cavers – Regina, SK (Forward)
Ty is a gritty forward with strong hockey IQ, energy, and smart playmaking. He thrives under pressure and plays a responsible two-way game.
Logan Dearborn – Saint Malo, MB (Defense)
A dual-sport athlete who also plays baseball, Logan is a smart, steady defenseman with strong positional awareness and efficient puck movement.
Peyton Moneyas – Hollow Water, MB (Forward)
A proven winner, Peyton captured last season's NJHL championship and has three CRJHL titles to his name. His leadership and big-game experience will be valuable assets.
Donnovin Fiorentino – Cranbrook, BC (Defense)
Donnovin adds size, poise, and hockey sense to the defensive corps, combining physicality with smart decision-making under pressure.
Nathaniel Flett-Neapean – Brandon, MB (Forward)
With three KJHL seasons, Nathaniel brings size, maturity, and strength on the puck, creating space for linemates and driving offense.
Austin Thompson – Devils Lake, ND (Forward)
The hometown product joins the Royals after a season in the NA3HL with the Badlands Sabres. Austin plays a physical, high-energy style and takes pride in representing his community.
