Bio
Brady Stein, a Devils Lake, North Dakota native, is entering his fourth season as the head men's hockey coach at Lake Region State College.
Stein was named head coach of the Royals men's hockey program on February 19, 2024. As head coach, he oversees all aspects of the program, including recruiting, game management, fundraising, scheduling, and player development. Through his first two seasons, Stein has compiled an overall record of 32-32, highlighted by a 20-16 campaign during the 2024-25 season.
Prior to taking over the Royals program, Stein coached the Devils Lake Bantam A team, leading the squad to a North Dakota state championship.
Beyond the rink, Stein has made a lasting impact on the Devils Lake community. Eight years ago, he founded Knights Athletics, which has become a cornerstone for athletes and community members seeking strength, speed, and performance training.
In addition to his coaching responsibilities, Stein serves as the head strength and conditioning coach for Lake Region State College athletics, a role he established seven years ago. His commitment to developing student-athletes both on and off the ice continues to play a vital role in the success of Royals athletics.
Coach Stein resides in Devils Lake with his wife and dog.
