LRSC Women’s Hockey Signs Abby Stewart-Fromm

Abagail "Abby" will be joining the inaugural 2023-2024 season at Lake Region State College for the Women's Hockey program as a goalie. Abby is from Pierre, South Dakota, and has been playing hockey for 16 years. She was part of the Oahe Capitals and the 22-23 19U High School National Team SD semi-finalist team. A save percentage of 91.3% would finish out her 22-23 regular season as an Oahe Capital and a place as one of the top 3 goalies in the state. Additionally, she ends her high school career with a total of 118 games played and totaling 2,560 saves for her Oahe Capitals Team. Abby earned a spot on the All-State Team. "I am excited to continue to play Hockey at a collegiate level. I am looking forward to this upcoming season as the only way we can go is up. Coach Logan has some big goals for us to achieve and I am ready to make those goals happen." 

"We are excited to add Abby to our goaltending core. Abby will bring her competitive nature and will be a backbone for our success in net." Kraft shared. "Abby has already mentioned working with our youth goaltenders which is fantastic. You look for those types of players when starting a program."
