Lake Region State College Names Mark LaCroix as New Head Baseball Coach of the Royals
Lake Region State College has announced the hiring of Mark LaCroix as the program's new head baseball coach, effective July 6th, 2026.
Lake Region State College has announced the hiring of Mark LaCroix as the program's new head baseball coach, effective July 6th, 2026.
LaCroix arrives at Lake Region after spending the past season at Renville County, where he served as head coach. During his lone season as head coach, LaCroix led the Muskrats to the Region 6 championship. Before his time at Renville County, Coach LaCroix was the head baseball coach at Dakota College at Bottineau. During his 7 seasons at DCB, Coach LaCroix led all aspects of the program including recruiting, budgeting, fundraising, academic monitoring, scheduling, and player development. On the field, Coach LaCroix increased roster size, had a 19 win and 16 win season his final two years, and beat Lake Region in 5 of the 6 seasons (one year no games played due to COVID).

"His passion for developing student-athletes, commitment to academic excellence, and proven ability to build successful programs made him the ideal choice to lead our baseball program into the future."
LaCroix brings 7 years of collegiate coaching experience and has coached the Bottineau American Legion, Bottineau Babe Ruth, and is currently the head coach of the Williston Oilers.
As head coach, Coach LaCroix will oversee all aspects of the baseball program, including recruiting, player development, game strategy, and academic success.
Coach LaCroix is a 2017 graduate of Minot State University where he received a degree in Social Studies Education and was a pitcher for the Beavers.
