Before arriving in Devils Lake, Anderson served as the head baseball coach at Lakeland Union High School (2023–2024) in Minocqua, WI, where he improved the team’s winning percentage each season and guided them to their best conference finish in over five years. He also led the Minocqua Post 89 Senior American Legion (19U) team during that time.

His coaching career began at his alma mater, Eau Claire Memorial High School (2020–2021), before he served as an assistant coach at Stoughton High School (2022).  In the summer of 2025, Anderson served as the head coach of the Ward Island Bull Sharks, a wood bat collegiate summer league team in the Texas Coastal Baseball League

A former UW–Eau Claire club baseball player (2018–2020), Anderson earned his Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from UW–Eau Claire and a Master’s degree in Sports Leadership from UW–Madison. Prior to coaching, he served in the United States Army, where he developed the leadership skills that now define his coaching approach.
