Volleyball Goes 2-3 During a Busy Week

The Royals Volleyball team had another big week, playing 5 matches in 5 days. They finished the week going 2-3, playing through quite a bit of adversity. An injury during the opening week of the season forced the Royals to mix up their lineup, but the team proved its depth winning some key matches and showing grit and determination in some tough losses.

The Royals traveled to Jamestown for two matches against Jamestown JV on Saturday, August 27^th. The first match went the distance, with the Royals losing in 5 sets. The second match wasn't as close, as the Jimmies took the match 3-0. Following the Jamestown matches, the team headed west to Montana for a triangular in Glendive, MT on Tuesday, August 31^st. The Royals opened with Rocky Mountain JV out of Billings, MT, and took that match 3-0. Immediately following the Rocky match, the Royals battled Dawson Community College and came out a little slow. Dawson took advantage, and won the first 2 sets. The Royals took set 3, but ran out of steam in set four, dropping the match 3-1.

On Wednesday, August 31^st, the Royals traveled to Miles City to take on Miles Community College. They took care of business and won the match 3-0.
